Monkey love!

William is so great with the boys.  He is not afraid to cut loose and have fun. You may have to turn up the volume and if you still can't hear it...you can at least see William being a monkey. 

I'm in the process of switching out my blog completely, but I've run into some snags with my host company and then, the company I got the template from. I'm quite frustrated and irritated, but trying to remain patient and positive.  I know when I finally get everything sorted and figured out, it'll be nice.  At times like this, I wish I were more technically minded.

Oh...how I LOVE natural/real expression!  This smile may go down in history as one of my favs of all time!!

I love this blanket!

A couple months ago, photographers everywhere were making mad dashes to all the stores, trying to find these blankets!  I think I visited about 5 stores with no luck, but I had a friend of mine find out in California of all places.  She was so sweet to send it to me and I finally got to use it.  It's a little big for this particular basket, but I'm so excited to use it again, so bring on the babies!

Oh yes...and the winner of my little crocheted froggy is...

He's beautiful! My DD's name is Lily and DH wants to turn her room into the "Lily Pad" so we are on the search for great little things to add to the room and this would be perrrrfect! You are sooo talented! Will you be selling any of them!?

I do have a plan for them.

I've been crocheting like a mad-woman lately.  But...I do have a method to my madness, you'll just have to wait until we get some grass to see the fruit of my labor.  In the meantime, here's my latest.

Thank you for my birthday well-wishes, I had a nice, relaxing day!  I have also chosen the winner for my little froggy, so be watching for the announcement.  In the coming weeks, BIG changes are happening to my blog, so forgive the construction zone in advance.

I was born 32 years ago today!  Thanks mom for laboring so long...it was worth it, right?

The crafty bug has bit again!  I have tried to read patterns before, not having much success.  Ever since I've been learning to knit, I'm learning to read patterns.  William got me this super cute book, full of these little crochet animals and on a whim last night, I decided to try to make one.  I'm pleased to report I figured out the pattern, with only 2 calls to my mom!  Thanks mom, you're the best!!  

He's pretty little, standing about 6inches high.  I think I'm going to make him a lot more friends in the days/weeks/months to come. 

I'd love to find my little froggy a new home.  If you think he'd be a good fit in your home, just leave me a comment and I'll find him a wonderful new family.  I did not attach his ribbon, so with a quick ribbon change, "he" could easily become a "she."  And...he's green not only in color, but also in the yarn chosen.  It's Eco-friendly yarn by Caron.  I'm doing my job to save our planet, he/he. 

William and his family got me a Flip  video camera for my birthday.  If you've never heard of them, that's ok... neither had I until a month or so ago.  I've been wanting something to record those little moments in our boys' lives and yet, something that was small and compact and easy to use, that I could take anywhere/everywhere.  

I received it a few days prior to my actual birthday (3.3) and was able to play with it last night.  I am still learning how to edit the video, so please ignore some "fluff" stuff near the front and my voice, but here is my first video taken with my new Flip.  Dewey and Papa are just having some fun with the Trains on the Isle of Sodor (Thomas the Train and his friends, for those that are not familiar.)

I'm not known for my self-control when it comes to a great bargain, especially when it's craft related.  I tend to horde and collect and then, things pile up and become too much for me to handle.  My brother used to tease me about giving my entire wardrobe away, within weeks of purchasing a new item.  

I'm afraid my lack of will has struck again.

I have found a tutorial to make baby wraps (for photography purposes of course) out of old sweaters.  You have to find the right kind of sweater of course, but then, it's pretty easy-or so it appears as I've yet to finish one.  I figured it will be a good time to put my sewing machine and knitting needles to good use.

The ARC Thrift store was having a $.99 sweater sale, where all of the sweaters were $.99 a piece.  That's insane.  I just had to go check it out.  It all started with the yellow sweater, and then became this...

My poor husband...no wonder he's attracted to simplicity.  So, if you know someone with an itty-bitty baby, send them my way to be photographed in a one-of-a-kind, repurposed baby wrap.  YES!

After a little gentle nudge (thank you Martha) I have finally worked a little on my Etsy shop (link top of the right column) and so now...it will be much easier for people to get a hold of me.  

And because this post will be useless without a photo, here is a family I recently painted-Thank you Jennifer for a terrific picture!!
